What we are celebrating
This award celebrates projects which demonstrate excellence in planting decisions, including showcasing high horticultural knowledge. This could be projects which seek to showcase innovation or a world-class standard of planting design, projects which have overcome particular site challenges, such as soil drainage or drought issues, or projects which set a high standard in issues such as biosecurity and plant health. Projects may be in formal contexts, such as botanical or heritage gardens, or may just seek to bring the best of planting design to ordinary spaces.
This award is open to different types of landscape works, including (but not necessarily limited to):
- Assessment or research
- Design: detailed/technical
- Design implementation
- Management strategy
Limitations
To enter this Award:
- The work may be of any scale
- Part of the awarded activity must have taken place between July 2020 and July 2022
- The work may be a stand-alone project or form part of a larger project
Judging criteria
This award will be scored by an independent panel of judges against our Judging Criteria:
- Design
- Sustainability
- Value
- Professionalism
In selecting an eventual winner, the judges will focus especially on the degree to which the entry meets the requirements under the Design criteria.
